Types of Project Memberships

Project Membership Benefits

  • Attendance at an OTA grant writing workshop. Individuals can be from the project, or the institution or both.
  • Only OTA members can nominate potential recipients for the OTA Dirks TRIO Achiever Scholarships and the OTA Fellowship.
  • OTA members can apply to receive partial funding for the travel cost of OTA award recipients to come to the Fall NAEOP conference when project and/or institutional funds are not sufficient and a student has been selected for a scholarship.
  • Project students are eligible for OTA corporate scholarships.
  • Discounted rates at OTA professional development opportunities, including OTA Spring Conference 
  • Project students are eligible for international educational opportunities offered through OTA.
  • Only OTA members can receive funding from OTA in support of grant writing activities or reviewers.
  • Project students are eligible for Last Mile scholarships
  • Only OTA members can receive OTA funding for NAEOP Peer Reviews for new (0-2 years of experience) program Directors, and others at the discretion of OTA Board of Directors.
  • Eligibility to run for an Officer of the Board of Directors.
  • Project students are eligible to attend the Student Leadership Conference
  • Only OTA members can receive access to the $500 unallowable Cost Credit
  • Only OTA members can receive access Canva Pro membership

 

Active TRIO Members (AT)

Active TRIO members shall be personnel employed by Oregon TRIO projects (authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 – including subsequent re-authorizations or other Acts designed to perpetuate TRIO services) with a current membership in good standing.

 

Project Membership Fee

The current Project Member Fee is $300.

 

Project Membership Period

Project memberships become effective on January 1 and end on December 31.

Membership

Types of Individual Memberships

Active TRIO Members (AT)

Active TRIO members shall be personnel employed by Oregon TRIO projects (authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 – including subsequent re-authorizations or other Acts designed to perpetuate TRIO services) with a current membership in good standing.

 

Active Non-TRIO Members (ANT)

Active Non-TRIO members shall be persons whose purpose, goals, and objectives are consistent with those of the Association as specified in Article I of the Constitution, including alumni of Oregon TRIO programs.  ANT memberships are limited to 10% of the total membership.

 

Individual Membership Fees

Active TRIO and Active Non-TRIO persons may become Individual Members by paying the Treasurer the Individual Membership Fee set by the Board. The current fee is $50.

(Individual memberships are an “unallowable cost” and cannot be paid with grant funds.)

 

Individual Membership Period

Membership becomes effective upon receipt of the fee and expires on December 31 of the same calendar year. 

 

Individual Membership Benefits

  • Can vote and fully participate in the business of OTA. 
  • Is eligible to vote in OTA elections.
  • Is eligible to run for and serve as a board member.
