Abroad Scholarships

The Oregon TRIO Association is partnering with CIEE to offer an exciting opportunity to travel the world. Whether you are a pre-college student, or currently enrolled at a College or University, you’ll find a wealth of captivating study-abroad options to explore.
The Oregon TRIO Association is thrilled to offer scholarships to assist with flight costs, enabling you to embark on these life-changing adventures. Discover the details and application process for each of these incredible opportunities below, and seize your chance to make the world your classroom.
High School Students apply for an opportunity to attend a 3 or 4 week summer abroad program through CIEE. You can select your ideal destination (though scholarship funds are predominantly provided to the language programs). With over 35 amazing destinations, all students can find a location or topic that interests them. Learn more about those opportunities here.
College Students apply for an opportunity to pursue various study-abroad programs partnering with CIEE. Learn more about those opportunities here. Additionally, if a student seeks to pursue a study abroad program through your current institution, you can also be eligible for our flight scholarship funds.
OTA is considering all students, regardless of GPA, for this opportunity. Students must currently be a member of a TRIO program within Oregon.
Note: We encourage students to check with their TRIO advisor before starting the process to ensure they are a good candidate for this opportunity and have the program’s support and/or institutional capacity to pursue a study abroad program.
